24 surprises to slip into your Advent calendar

There are those who buy a new calendar every year: 24 chocolates, 24 flavors, 24 biscuits, the choice is always wider and more colorful, enough to make our heads spin.

And then there are those who enjoy bringing out their advent calendar, going through each day, each piece, of a calendar that has stood the test of time. Here are a few ideas for slipping some surprises into your own advent calendar, and delighting the little hands that will open it day after day, until Christmas.
